401K | Medical & Dental

Support  adults with developmental disabilities with significant personal care needs at Day Program site.

Assist with ADLs, social skills, community involvement, skill building.

Assists in implementing IHP goals with Program Manager


Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm


- Ensure security and confidentiality of all assigned Alternatives, Inc. records

- Follow all policies and procedures relative to this position

- Cooperate with Alternatives, Inc. and the N.J. Division of Developmental Disabilities in all inspections or investigations.

Must be experienced with individuals who have behavioral needs and aggressive tendencies.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Evaluates skills and needs of each individual receiving services and makes recommendations to Program/Unit Manager
- Assists in planning and implementing IHP/ISP with Program/Unit Manager and Interdisciplinary Team
- Supervises clients in maintenance and upkeep of apartments or home - Submits reports as required by Program/Unit Manager
- Assists in review and implementation of DHS licensing standards
- Assists in setting up of appointments
- Provides necessary transportation
- Ensure security and confidentiality of all assigned Alternatives, Inc. records
- Follow all policies and procedures relative to this position
- Ensures Alternatives, Inc.'s Person-Centered Philosophy
- Develops and implements individualized training program for each individual with Program/Unit Manager and IDT
- Assists in planning and implementing Individual Behavior Plans with Clinical Specialist, Program/ Unit Manager and IDT, when applicable
- Cooperate with Alternatives, Inc. and the N.J. Department of Human Services in all inspections or investigations
- Assists the Program/Unit Manager in training and supervision of staff
- Maintain apartment, staff office and vehicle keys
- Maintains records as assigned by Program/Unit Manager
- Participates in staff meetings as directed by Program/Unit Manager
- Availability to be contacted in emergency situations
- Assists in training of clients in necessary areas
- Performs necessary tasks for individuals
- Assists Program/Unit Manager in maintaining contact with outside agencies providing services to individuals
- Participates as a team member in planning, implementing and evaluating services provided by the Program
- Assists in carrying out recreation events by providing additional transportation and supervision
- Ensure operational effectiveness in emergency situations by providing services at Alternatives, Inc.'s program sites as assigned
- Strong interpersonal skills required 

-Must also be able to lift 50 lbs.


BA Preferred & Experience Required.

Must possess valid NJ/NY/PA driver's license.

**In order to be eligible for employment, applicant must not have more than 5 points on their driving record and no DUIs within the last 3 years.**
